A contest taking into account some of your suggestions for themes!

I will put up a 3 month subscription for the top prize, once again if I have at least ten entries! The last contest was a lot of fun, but it is time for another. =equivoque

Gallery =291 is a dA community devoted to darkroom, digital darkroom, primitive, and polaroid photography. Anyone interested in becoming a member should put =291 on his/her watch list and provide a link to the group in his or her signature or journal file. The community will watch you in return.

Environment is the Word - a Contest: Some of you suggested a contest based on a word theme. Some suggested a contest of cities. Others, who do not live near cities, thought that was not feasible. We've decided to combine your suggestions. Enter a photo interpreting the word "environment", or show us your city, village, countryside, work setting, or home. This time, we're asking for entries of any darkroom variety: Polaroid, Holga, traditional, color, monochrome, toned, or digital. The one criterion that must be met is that the piece be something that could be achieved within a traditional darkroom. That means digitally enhanced photos (beyond what could be achieved without a computer) will be given less consideration. We are still in the process of working out prizes; if we get ten entries, I'll be putting up a three month subscription for the top prize.

1) Entries must be regular or digital photos, not photomanipulations or significantly digitally enhanced pieces!
2) Any post-processing PS or GIMP enhancements must be stated in the description!
3) A link to the contest should be included in the description, along with a reference to the contest.
4) Entries should be sent (via a link to the deviation) by note to =291 no later than the evening of December 31st (CST United States).
5) Contest is open to Gallery =291 members, but anyone may join.
6) Ten pieces will be selected from the entries to compete in the poll, which will open on January 1st, 2006.
8) The poll will determine the top places.
9) Winner will be the featured deviation of =291 for 2 weeks and will be featured in =equivoque's, =intao's, and *Wilby3000's journals.
10) A three month dA subscription for the top prize... if we get enough entries!
