Shockingly, an admin actually gets caught up with life and can devote some time to the club. Sorry for the hiatus, but all the admins seem to be quite busy at the moment. I'm going to attempt to actually keep a regular schedule of posting submissions.

Gallery ~291 is a dA community devoted to darkroom, digital darkroom, primitive, and polaroid photography. By digital darkroom, we mean the use of digital techniques to achieve analog effects. It is our mission to display the kind of fine analog art that is rarely featured on dA. We ask you to send us only your highest quality photos for consideration and that those submissions reflect the mission and purpose of ~291. It's in our name, after all. Anyone interested in becoming a member should put ~291 on his/her watch list and provide a link to the group in his or her signature or journal file. Though the link is not required, it is certainly appreciated. The community no longer watches its members, as the administrative overhead for that task is just too high.

We have been taking longer to post submissions and are becoming more selective about what we'll put in the gallery. As much as we would like to communicate with all of you or to choose an alternative piece from your gallery when we do not care to submit the one you may have sent, we do not have time to answer inquiries about why we did not post a deviation, nor are there hours in the day to give critique. Not only it this is the reality of running a growing club, we strive to create a high quality club gallery! Thanks for your understanding.

Hiatus: I'm taking a hiatus from my admin duties at =291. I'm just too busy with my other responsibilities on dA. The club is in good hands though, and I leave for the time being donating a subscription to make it a bit easier for others to care for =291.
